Hamanako

Lake Hamana in Shizuoka Prefecture is Japan’s tenth largest lake. A popular resort for boat rides and other water sports, Lake Hamana is also famous for its savoury eel and oysters. Not only that, the Lake Hamana region has delicious strawberries and mikan oranges, and visitors can pick and buy their own at places near Mikkabi, northwest of the lake. Lake Hamana also has a number of hot springs at nearby towns such as Bentenjima and Kanzanji. Guests at Hamanako Grand Hotel Sazanamikan can relax and rejuvenate in the hot spring water drawn from Kanzanji onsen, helping soothe the mind and body.
